College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) which is now Technological University (from 21st June 2022), was established in the year 1854 and is one of the oldest and Premier Engineering Institutes in the Country. The institute is known for Imparting quality technical education is ranked consistently on par with the Best Engineering Institutes in the Country by National Institutional Ranking Framework and other prestigious surveys. The institute is known for it’s contributing alumni, spread globally for serving mankind and technology. With many illustrious firsts to its credit, in the domain of academics and education, the Institute, as on date, offers eight B.Tech, twenty six M.Tech, MBA & PhD programs, need based PG Diplomas, and short-term skilling programs in various technology verticals.
School of Electrical and Communication Engineering
The School of Electrical and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a part of COEP Tech University and is responsible for coordinating the study and research in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Instrumentation and Control. The school comprises of three departments and four centers, including the Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of Instrumentation and Control, Center of Excellence in Signal and Image Processing (SIP), Center of Excellence in Smart and Renewable Energy Systems (SRES), Center of Excellence in Industrial Automation (IA), and Center of Excellence in Advanced Electronics Manufacturing (AEM).
The School aims at earnest articulation of the NEP compliant curriculum for various programs at B.Tech. and M.Tech. levels, expanding academic and outreach programs, quality assessment of such programs for a perpetual journey towards Excellence.
The School has a self mandate for establishing and maintaining the world class research facility and collating resources, thereby promoting state-of-the-art research that results into enhancing the quality of publications, development of prototypes, technology transfers, and industrial consultancy. Additionally, it envisages to promote entrepreneurship and startup culture among students and faculty.
